A great birthday
The Baltimore City Police Department led the parade. They were followed by departing Mayor Martin O'Malley, "I Can't We Can" recovery members, Girl Scouts, "100 Strong Male Role Models" from Woodlawn High School, several anti-war groups, including Veterans Against the War, Corvette clubs, beauty queens, Black Engineers Fraternity, Civic groups, many, many Baltimore community steppers, Marching Bands, etc. The gentleman seen in the photo, right, was leading an ROTC group from a local high school. One side of the sign said "We must be born again." I liked this side better!
The Millenium Cowboys gave a really exciting show as they came past. They galloped their horses up and down the street, did tricks like getting the horse to rear up or step backward, sideways, 'dance', etc. The photo above was taken before the parade. I had already taken a couple of shots when the cowboy on the left spotted me and my camera, and flashed the peace sign.
